Raquel Romano

Raquel is an engineering leader with experience ranging from startups to big tech to nonprofits to government. She has worked within the federal government to responsibly advance AI initiatives while minimizing risk and spent 9 years at Google as a software engineer on computer vision, accessibility, and social impact efforts.

Raquel holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT and a B.A. in Mathematics from Harvard. She is a founding member of Latinas in Computing and an advocate and mentor for people entering computing fields through nontraditional paths.
